Pastor Paul Drees is a called & ordained Lutheran pastor, currently serving in the La Crosse Area synod of the ELCA. His love for making videos came from a childhood that included many hours of making silly videos with his friend Dan, on a MiniDV camera. Pr. Paul restarted this hobby in November of 2021, after some of his sermons on racial & economic justice were deemed ‘too political’. TikTok (and later Instagram and YouTube) became places where he could freely proclaim a gospel message that is rooted in liberation. He fell in love with using those platforms to share the love of Christ. Oddly enough, people started following him, and now we’re here, where he’s writing a biography about himself in the third person. We plan, and God laughs, right?
